My Story
My name is Nele and one of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that life is forever changing and we must never hesitate to live our deepest passions.
I am pure and passionate. I am sensitive and curious. I am guided by my heart.
My greatest passions are sports and music. When I was eight years old, I started competing in equestrian vaulting and gymnastics and my passion for sports has remained with me ever since. My sports have taught me to be focused, to strive for excellence, and to live in the moment. They taught me how to both win and lose, and showed me the beauty of playing as part of a team. They provided me with the opportunity to travel and to meet new people.
This passion led me to the German Sport University Cologne where I earned my degree in Sports Science. I worked for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team in Park City, Utah and during the Olympic Games in both Athens (2004; including the Paralympic Games) and Torino (2006). I then spent six wonderful years doing marketing and public relations for the Quiksilver/Roxy and Nikita in both Munich, Germany and Hossegor, France. These positions allowed me to work with some tremendous athletes and to put to work my love for surfing and snowboarding.
After Quiksilver/Roxy, I moved to Berlin, seeking the vitality and creativity you can find in this wonderful city. I began doing some acting, which showed me a whole different world and has taught me much about myself – how to let go, not be so hard on myself, and to relax. Around this time, I was first introduced to the Grinberg Method, a remarkable approach to achieving personal well-being. I was amazed by this work, became a student, and soon started working with clients. At the same time, I started doing marketing for Converse/Nike.
I am a very energetic person. When I was first introduced to yoga, I always had to go for a run before any yoga class otherwise I felt like I was just sitting there, not accomplishing anything. Despite this feeling, I continued to go to different yoga classes out of curiosity.
One day, while traveling in Portugal I was introduced to “Prana Vinyasa by Shiva Rea.” I was so taken by this Yoga approach that I completed the Shiva Rea Teacher Training in Costa Rica.
Through my life I have learned how to intensively train my body and my mind. I have been surrounded by amazing coaches who have guided me professionally and personally. At university, I learned the best coaching methods and my myriad life experiences have taught me how to inspire. After my studies I continued coaching alongside my other jobs until I realized that I didn’t want to just do this on the side anymore. I wanted to live my passion now and share what I love.
My coaching approach energizes and respects your body and mind. I call it Lale.
Let the beauty of what I love be what I do.
